Safeguarding Children at Beth's Baby Bears

What does it mean to safeguard a child?

What I would do as a Safeguarding Lead if I had concerns...

I must report any concerns I have about a child and/or their family members.

As the manager and sole employee of Beth's Baby Bears, it is my duty to keep all of the children in my care safe. This includes having appropriate security and health and safety, risk assessments, evacuation plans etc.

What I would do as a Safeguarding Lead if I had concerns...

If I had concerns about a child potentially being abused (including the witnessing of Domestic Violence), I would seek advice from the Local Authority (BMBC) and Integrated Front Door (IFD) for support and advice. If a child is in immediate danger, I would ring South Yorkshire Police (SYP)

Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility!

Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility!

By working together with the BMBC, SYP and IFD, we can all work together to support children who we suspect or believe may be and/or is at risk of harm.
